Harry Kane, the England captain and Tottenham Hotspur’s record goalscorer, is set to leave the club after 19 years.
Bayern Munich had a bid that could be worth almost £100m accepted for the striker on Thursday. Kane was weighing up whether to move to Germany. And there was a chance of him deciding to stay at Spurs for another year, even though his contract expires next summer.
After a day of further talks, however, it is understood Kane has decided to join the German champions. The England captain, who is Thomas Tuchel’s top target, has been given permission to undergo a medical and is expected to sign a four-year deal.
Kane is at Stansted Airport preparing to fly to Germany to complete his move to Bayern Munich. His flight had to be delayed when it appeared Tottenham had blocked him from departing.

Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou said that Kane’s transfer from Tottenham to Bayern Munich is “imminent”
This transfer will be a huge loss for Tottenham but a great gain for Bayern Munich. Harry Kane has been an integral part of Tottenham’s success over the years and his departure will leave a big hole in their squad.
On the other hand, Bayern Munich will be getting one of the best strikers in the world and this will surely strengthen their already formidable squad.
