Tottenham Plans To Sign Fulham Defender Tosin Adarabioyo

Tottenham Plans To Sign Fulham Defender Tosin AdarabioyoTottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Fulham centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo in the January transfer window, as they look to bolster their defensive options.

The 25-year-old, who joined Fulham from Manchester City last year, has impressed with his performances in the Championship, helping his side to the top of the table with four clean sheets in six games.

Adarabioyo was linked with a move to Monaco during the summer transfer window, but the deal did not materialise. He has a release clause of £10 million in his contract, which expires in 2024.

Tottenham are keen to add more quality and depth to their defensive unit, especially after losing Davinson Sanchez to Galatasaray on loan earlier this week. The club also failed to offload Eric Dier, who is out of favour under new manager Ange Postecoglou.

Post ecoglou has preferred to pair new signing Micky van de Ven with Cristian Romero at the heart of the defence, but he is aware that he needs more options for the rest of the season.

According to Football Insider, Tottenham have been offered the chance to sign Adarabioyo in January, and they are likely to revisit a deal for the 6ft 4in defender either for a cut-price fee or in the form of a pre-contract agreement.

Adarabioyo is regarded as one of the best young defenders in England, and he has also represented his country at various youth levels. He made 33 appearances for Fulham in the Premier League last season, scoring two goals.

Tottenham have made a strong start to the new campaign under Postecoglou, winning three of their first four games and sitting second in the table. They will resume their league action after the international break with a home game against Sheffield United on September 18.
