Mohbad, 27, died on September 12, 2023, after allegedly receiving an injection from a nurse. The police exhumed his body and conducted an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
Sam Larry, who is said to be an ally of singer Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, was apprehended at the Lagos airport upon his return to Nigeria. He is currently assisting with the ongoing investigation, according to the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin.

The police had earlier invited Naira Marley and Sam Larry for questioning over Mohbad’s demise. Naira Marley denied any involvement in the case and said he was not in the country when the incident happened.
Sam Larry had come under fire on social media after videos of him and some people harassing Mohbad surfaced online. In one of the videos, Mohbad and Zlatan were on set for a music video when Sam Larry and his boys stormed the scene and targeted Mohbad, who ran away in fear.
Many Nigerians on social media blamed Sam Larry for bullying and threatening the late singer and demanded justice for Mohbad.
The police said they are awaiting the result of the autopsy and will update the public on the progress of the case.
