The Nigerian film industry, popularly known as Nollywood, has lost one of its finest actors and filmmakers, Charles Grandsville, who died on Thursday, September 21, 2023.
Grandsville, who was the chairperson of the Advisory Committee on Arts and Entertainment, was best known for his role as Dr. Kwame Mensah in the hit TV series Tinsel.
He also starred in several movies, such as Last Flight to Abuja, Impossible Relationships, Dowry Man, and the upcoming Locked.
He won several awards and nominations for his acting and music career, including the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in 2019.
His family has not yet released any official statement regarding his funeral arrangements. He is survived by his wife and two children. May his soul rest in peace.
