If Tanguy Ndombélé cannot be signed by Galatasaray, they will look into a deal for Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi.
The Super Lig champions have identified the Nigerian international as a target, according to Turkish news outlet A Haber, and are looking to purchase a defensive midfielder before the transfer window closes.
Ndombélé, a midfielder for Tottenham Hotspur, is being replaced by the 26-year-old Ndidi.
Tottenham Hotspur rejected Galatasaray’s first offer for Ndombélé because it was judged insufficient, and it is unclear whether the Premier League club would accept a second offer.
Along with Southampton and Leeds United, Leicester City was demoted to the Championship last season, and it is anticipated that some of their key players would go on to other prestigious clubs.
Harvey Barnes and James Maddison, a tandem for the Foxes, have already left for Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur, respectively.
Another player rumored to leave the Foxes before the transfer window closes is Ndidi.
Since moving to the King Power Stadium, the former Genk midfielder has made 237 appearances, making 11 goals and 12 assists.
In addition, a transfer to Nottingham Forest has been mentioned.
