Nollywood actor and lawyer Kanayo O. Kanayo has debunked the rumours that he is involved in money ritual in real life, saying that it is an evil practice that he will never partake in.
The veteran actor, who is known for his roles in occultic movies, said that the rumours were fueled by his portrayal of such characters on screen.
However, he said that he is only a vessel for delivering messages through his acting, and that he does not endorse or practice money ritual in any way.
Kanayo also explained how he got the nickname “Nnanyi Sacrifice”, which means “father of sacrifice” in Igbo language.
He said that someone called him that during the lavish funeral of Obi Cubana’s mother in Oba, Anambra state, where he was one of the guests.
“Money ritual is not good and will never be good. I will never be part of it and have never been part of it. When you hear somebody call me ‘Nnanyi Sacrifice,’ it was just the name somebody called me during Obi Cubana’s mother’s burial. One thing about names is that immediately you start rejecting it, it sticks. Call me any name you like, but pay me my cheque. If we listen to the message, we will change the society more. I am just a vessel.” He said.
