In his post, Kosoko described Sherifat as his very first love and the mother of his older children. He also recounted how her death affected him and their family, and how he still misses her presence.
Kosoko wrote:
“When I lost you in 1993 to the cold hands of death, it was not a pleasant experience for me because you serve as my source of joy and happiness and that of your children too, you played a central and a vital role in the balance of the home even thou I got along few years after your demise, certain events & circumstances always trigger your loving memories.”
The actor added that he believes Sherifat is always with him in spirit and prayed for her soul to continue to rest in peace.
Kosoko’s touching tribute moved many of his fans and colleagues to sympathise with him and also pray for the late actress.
Sherifat was not the only wife Kosoko lost. The actor also mourned the death of his third wife, Henrietta Kosoko, who passed away in 2016. Henrietta was also a popular Nollywood actress and the mother of singer Eltee Skhillz.
Kosoko recently honoured Henrietta on her sixth death anniversary by sharing an old video of her on his Instagram page. He also organised a remembrance ceremony for her where his children and other Nollywood stars were present.
