Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, widely known as Skales, claimed in a recent interview on Hip TV’s show “Trending” that he is underestimated in the music industry and that he is “the greatest artist.”
Skales emphasised his contribution to the global expansion of afro beats, affirming his place among those who helped bring the genre to the world stage, and firmly labelled himself the “greatest artist,” with no disrespect intended for anyone in the industry.
Skales’ successful songs have been making waves in the music world. Despite his accomplishments, he has been plagued by poor self-esteem.During the interview, he emphasised the significance of self-confidence in his journey and how, since 2020, he has been working on finding himself.
Fans have taken to social media to voice their support for Skales following his recent comments. Some people have even begun a hashtag campaign called #SkalesTheGreatestArtist to convey their appreciation for Skales’ work.
This is not Skales’ first time in the news. In a recent episode of the Terms & Conditions podcast, Skales accused operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of tormenting him and voiced fear for his life.
