Frederick C. Morello, 69, of Ormond Beach, was identified as the victim.

The body was discovered by the homeowner about 12:25 p.m. and reported to authorities.

The Titusville Fire Department arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.

The skydiver was seen on security camera descending before crashing hard on the lawn by a neighbour.

During the drop, the footage also revealed the reflection of an SUV window. The incident is being investigated by detectives, and it is unclear whether Morello was parachuting alone or with a group.

Many questions remain unanswered as a result of this sad tragedy.

A local, James Sconiers, was perplexed as to why Morello fell so violently while all safety systems were in place.

Nicole Lacount, who watched the incident’s aftermath, called it “the worst” she had ever seen.
