Gov Mbah Commissions Multiple Urban Road Projects

Governor Peter Mbah has commissioned 71 urban road projects across the state capital to improve infrastructure and connectivity in Enugu State. This marks the first phase of a larger initiative to construct and reconstruct roads in the state.

The roads commissioned include:

  • Broderick Street
  • Silver Smith Street
  • Asata Mine Road
  • Ogbete – Jamboree – Ajogwu Road (all at Coal Camp)
  • Idaw River, Uwani, and Coal Camp Zones
  • Emeka Ebila
  • Idaw River Secondary School Road
  • Umuchu Street
  • Omachiani Street
  • Iloh Franco Street
  • St. Charles Street
  • Umu Ohachie Street
  • Ozoude Street
  • Meniru Street
  • Mount Street Bypass
  • Bishop Anyogu Street
  • College Road
  • Edeozie Street
  • Kenyatta Street to Timber Road (Uwani Zone)
  • St. Peter’s Road
  • Odudukoko Street
  • Garki flyover
  • Four flyover ramps at Garki and Amechi
  • Awkunanaw flyover (Gariki Zone)

Governor Mbah emphasized that the administration’s primary purpose is to serve the people and ensure their security and welfare.

He stated that basic amenities like paved roads, water, and electricity should be taken for granted and that the government is committed to providing these to the citizens.

The commissioning was met with enthusiasm from the residents, who expressed gratitude for the long-awaited road interventions in their communities.

The governor’s commitment to improving infrastructure in both urban and rural areas is expected to enhance connectivity, ease transportation, and foster economic development across Enugu State.
