Burna Set to Release New Album “I Told Them”

Burna Boy, the Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, is set to release his seventh studio album, I Told Them…, on August 25th 2023. The album is a follow-up to his critically acclaimed Love, Damini, which earned him a Grammy nomination for Best World Music Album in 2022.
I Told Them… features 15 tracks, including collaborations with some of the biggest names in hip-hop and rap, such as 21 Savage, J. Cole, Dave, and Byron Messia. The album also showcases Burna Boy’s versatility and creativity, as he experiments with different sounds and genres, from dancehall to R&B.
The lead single from the album, Big 7, was released on July 29th 2023, and has already amassed over 10 million streams on Spotify. The song is a tribute to Burna Boy’s musical journey and his ambition to reach new heights. The music video for Big 7 features cameos from legendary artists such as RZA, Busta Rhymes, Junior Mafia, and Shameik Moore.
Burna Boy has also shared two more singles from the album ahead of its release: Cheat On Me featuring Dave, and Sittin’ On Top Of The World featuring 21 Savage. Both songs showcase Burna Boy’s lyrical prowess and his ability to blend Afrobeats with rap.
